The Harmony Collection: Vibrant Oak is a celebration of The Macallan’s enduring relationship with oak, the very foundation of its character and natural colour. As part of the limited Harmony Series, this release focuses on the casks themselves – the seasoned European and American oak that imparts the signature complexity, depth, and richness to The Macallan.
Matured in a carefully selected combination of sherry-seasoned European oak casks and American oak casks, Vibrant Oak strikes a balance between bold richness and elegant brightness. The whisky’s natural golden-amber colour reflects its journey in wood, with each cask contributing layers of flavour and aroma.
On the nose, it reveals notes of vanilla, sweet oak, and gentle spice, alongside hints of dried fruits, honeycomb, and citrus. The palate is rounded and full, with flavours of raisins, rich caramel, and orange zest, complemented by nutmeg, ginger, and smooth toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and refined oak complexity.
Bottled at 44.2% ABV, Vibrant Oak is presented in a box crafted from discarded oak pieces, continuing The Macallan’s sustainability theme. It is both a whisky of substance and a statement of innovation, showcasing the essential role oak plays in shaping The Macallan’s identity.
